Conviction is the Holy Spirit guiding you away from evil and towards Holiness. Conviction is often explained like a burning feeling towards sin which is fitting since all sin is taken down to hell. If your obedient to your convictions then you will grow in the Lord and set yourself apart from this world which is called sanctification.
